The Earth Needs Healing
Help the Earth
Our Earth is in need of Healing. So many people today are trying to help revive our mother but she is becoming very sick.
Our oceans, rivers, streams, creeks, and ponds are becoming polluted and if we don’t act with some urgency they could be predisposed for our children and grandchildren. While many people today are trying to stand up for what’s right and make a difference in this world and doing healings for the Earth some are still taking control of the reins and doing more harm than good by polluting the whole world.
Not enough food for babies
While outside yesterday I noticed that there are even less flying insects than there were last year. There are even less bugs being born every year and they are now being born after the baby birds hatch leaving them very little in the way of food to forage for in the spring.
Earthquakes are at an all time high, rock slides, flooding is leaving many people without homes. It is uprooting both humans and animals. The animals that once thrived here are almost gone. When they are all gone there won’t be any more here. That will be the end of them.
My Life’s theme
My life’s theme has always been that of an animal rights activist, an animal rescuer and a helper to the precious wildlife in our area. They are in danger. More and more of them are being killed by hunters during the winter months. Many of the rare exotic species are now missing.
Here in this area of Meigs County Tennessee we average 5-20 turkey’s and white tailed deer killed per year. That is horrid results! But that isn’t even 1/5th of the total kill results per year.
Respect the community that we live in
Most hunters here don’t care if they wake families up in these residential areas at 2AM with their long range shotguns. It is so loud that it sounds like a brick being thrown through your window by a criminal that late at night. It scares children and they can’t go back to sleep. Never mind what they do to your property when trolling after their kill.
My Battle Cry for help
My battle cry is: LEAVE THE DEER AND WILDLIFE ALONE!
My emotions are very strong right now. I am called to action to protect these animals when nobody else will.
I love this place. It is my home. I chose to spend every dime I had to move here based entirely on seeing this place one time, loving this place and the wildlife that resides here. There is so many gifts of beauty here. In the everyday busyness of life you could blink and miss it. Flashes of sunlight in the early morning and late evening. Some kind of magic always happens when you interact with nature and with the energies of a place.
The deer, racoons, and red tailed hawks are the wounded warriors of this place. They need their living space given back to them in some way because they have nowhere else to live. I felt right away that this special place was wounded and in deep need of healing. You can’t see the earth cry or weep but you can feel it. Trees with their long tangled roots ripped right out of the ground by tractors, uprooted by the locals and left or thrown carelessly into the nearest creek; which dams it up after a time of this abuse.
I have such anger, and regret for the ignorant ones. I have so much guilt from not being able to do anything or catch the offenders. By the time the police get here it is too late. The damage has already been done. The nature thieves played a large part in ruining this sacred place.
Acts of kindness and compassion
Every act of kindness, compassion, and beauty in an area provide healing to the Earth. It reflects our inner being. Our little inner self. We have to care for it. It is a living work of art.
History of this place
The people here before us raised their children here. They let their dogs play in the field behind our home. They saw wild rabbits and chased them as children. When we moved here there was one rabbit left. She has no children and no mate. I become sad when I think of what a lonely place this must be for her.
Our History here
When we moved here I pulled up a blanket and fell asleep beneath the tulip trees in the back yard. We walked to the creek and hiked back up the quarter mile to get home before a rain shower. Each of these moments have power and strength to our family.
What can we do?
you can make a special gift for the earth and take it to the wounded place. I am making an Earth Exchange and making a radjay to give the earth as a way of watching the place.
The website for this magical project is at: http://radicaljoyforhardtimes.org/about-earth-exchanges/2012-global-earth-exchange.html
The Earth Exchange
The earth exchange which is a mutual sharing between this place and my people. (family). this place needs all of the love and compassion that it can receive from as many people as it possibly can. Now is the time to start. There is room for you.
